Clergy
The Priest in Charge of St Oswald’s is the Rev Alison Mathew.
A wee bit from Alison…
I hail from Dunoon and via a wee spell in the South of England which lasted for about 30 years I am now back home and working at St Oswald’s.
I love baking, reading, the cinema and eating with friends (in no particular order). I also have a friendly golden retriever called Flora (also known as the Vestry Dog) and we can often be seen roaming the parks of Glasgow (Flora chasing squirrels and me trying to catch her).
Vestry
The Vestry is the group of people that act as trustees for the church, which is a registered charity. They are responsible for assisting the Priest in Charge. This includes the mission and ministry of the whole church as well as the practicalities and day-to-day aspects that are part of the life of any church. The Priest in Charge is also a member (and chair) of the Vestry Committee.
