The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed that someone took and sowed in his field; 32 it is the smallest of all the seeds, but when it has grown it is the greatest of shrubs and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and make nests in its branches
(Matthew 13.31-32, NRSVA)
We are a small church family and there is beauty in that. Our welcome is generous and our walk together is close. It is together we invite the journey that is our life of faith. We are committed to sharing God’s love, flourishing as God’s people, caring for creation and generously extending God’s hospitality into the community.
Jesus describes God’s kingdom as being like a tiny mustard seed, which grows and flourishes and becomes a place of rest and welcome. We hope, pray and work in this way for St Oswald’s!
Come on in and we will put the kettle on, you are welcome, and we look forward to meeting you! Join us for one of our services or visit Alison, our Priest in Charge, who is usually in the church office in the mornings if you feel like a natter (she does) – just ring the bell on the front door up the left-hand side of the church!
